"It's been a year since we joined Opus 1 and it's been such a great experience. We been doing Voice with teacher Annie and piano with teacher Marco. The teachers are great, patient, and friendly. They make learning music fun.
The teachers at Opus 1 are great and experienced but I should mention that the staffs make it an even better place. They've been very helpful accommodating my needs. This applies especially to Mei. If I need to change/reschedule classes, she helps finding the most convenient day and time within a second. She is also great at finding a compatible teacher for students. Her communication skills and her friendliness makes this place a great place to learn music.
Registering classes online is super easy; Someone always answers the phone when I call. End of the year recital is a nice opportunity to perform in front of very supportive crowd."

"I took beginner piano lessons with Mark at Opus 1 (first in Mountain View, most recently at this nice new Palo Alto location) for the last ten months. I was a complete beginner, adult student.
I really enjoy this academy: Doris and the staff & instructors are all really nice & friendly, and my teacher Mark really loved music and was thinking about how to best meet my needs. For example on several occasions he brought pieces of music that he thought I would enjoy.
Also: the new Palo Alto facility is very nice, great location, fun buildout, nice equipment & studio rooms.
Highly recommend for parents and adult students alike!"

"My 9 years old daughter and I have been taking piano and violin lessons at Opus 1 for over a year now and we couldn't be more pleased! We study Piano with teacher Doris and Violin with Richard. Opus 1 facilities are great, the staff is friendly and the music lessons are fantastic. My daughter not only passed ABRSM theory Grade 5 with Merit, and CM exam piano level 7, but also won the American Protege Competition and will be performing at Carnegie Hall in New York this November. I would highly recommend Opus 1 Music Studio to aspiring musicians of any age and level!"

"My daughter has been taking private piano lessons here for almost a year now, starting at age 4. We love it. The place is bright, clean, and abuzz with beautiful music floating through the halls. My daughter's teacher is Dr. Tyler, and she loves him. When she started, her focus lasted about 15 mins--to be expected, for her age--but now she's engrossed for the full 30 minutes. This is thanks to Dr. Tyler, who is always kind and patient with her. He teaches her what she needs to know to master playing, while encouraging her play what she finds exciting and fun. More than once, he has composed her favorite songs to make them accessible to her--down to adjusting for pinky fingers that are still gaining enough strength to hit the keys. He also plays beautiful pieces for her, prompting her to dance around the piano.
Also worth noting: this Opus1 is right next to a Starbucks, so it pairs nicely with a pre- or post-lesson treat. Highly recommended."

"We like Opus 1 Music Studio at Mountain view a lot. My son and I enjoy lessons from teacher Marco very much. Under Marco's guidance, my son's techniques have improved a great deal over the past three years. I also like the friendly and professional staffs there, especially Mei who attended all our needs and requests in a timely manner. Over the past three years, Mei scheduled numerous makeup lessons for my son due to my son's busy and conflicting schedules in the spring and fall sports seasons. She tried very hard to find the makeup lesson time for us because teacher Marco pretty much doesn't have any open slot, so my son never skipped a lesson. She also worked hard to move our lesson time 4 times after we requested change of lesson time. I am very pleased with the service Mei provided over the last three years. Without her, my son probably couldn't keep learning from the teacher he likes and he probably wouldn't improve this much."
