about Teacher Luis (level ii)
Teacher Luis began his musical training at the Victoriano Lopez School of Music in San Pedro Sula, Honduras where he later joined the faculty as a violin professor.
In addition to more than ten years of teaching experience, Teacher Luis has earned awards and honors including First Prize in the USM Chamber Music Competition, winner in the Northern Lights Music Festival concerto competition, concertmaster of the San Pedro Sula Chamber Orchestra, and assistant concert master of the Gulf Coast Symphony. He has earned both his Master’s Degree in violin performance (University of Cincinnati) and Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance (The University of Southern Mississippi).
