Opus 1 is proud to feature Marco, one of our longtime students who began his musical journey in the MYC Sunbeam class with Teacher Yuri at just five years old. After graduating from the program in 2019, he continued private lessons with Teacher Yuri and has grown into a remarkably dedicated young pianist. Now 10, Marco is preparing for his ABRSM Grade 8 practical exam, with previous exams passed with scores of Merit and Distinction. Marco has been invited to perform at Opus 1's Honors Recital for six consecutive years.
Teacher Doris, our founder and Master Teacher, commented what an exceptional pianist he was after one of his Honors performances, "We are so blessed to have an MYC alumni that has flourished in his musical journey here at Opus 1. We are excited to see his continued progress."
Marco has also competed in various competitions, winning second place in the American Protege and has an upcoming performance at Carnegie Hall!
